STOLEN: Lead was stolen from the roof
THIEVES have stolen lead from a roof, causing £1,000 worth of damage in the process.
They climbed onto the second storey roof of a property in The Avenue, Witham, and stole about two metres of lead.
They tried to remove another 45cm and left it buckled.
The value of the theft and damage is more than £1,000 in total.
It happened between 2.30pm on August 16 and 3.30pm on August 21.
