A NEW pastor and youth worker will be joining Braintree Baptist Church next month.
Chris Farmer will be joining the church in Coggeshall Road as co-Pastor alongside Barry Cheesman.
He has been involved in full-time Youth Ministry since 2003, and studied a degree which involved being placed in a local church as the Youth Worker.
Until August, he was the full-time Youth Worker at Histon Baptist Church, Cambridgeshire.
Barry Cheesman, pastor, said: "During this time he has felt a growing call to wider ministry and was accepted for Baptist Ministerial training a year ago and now believes the time is right to take up this calling.
"He will be working part time with the church whilst he undertakes his training at Spurgeon's College in South London."
He and his wife Kate have three young children- Grace, six, William, five, and Emma-Rose, two.
He begins his ministry on Sunday, September 11 and will be leading and preaching at the morning service that day at 10.30am.
