AN AMATEUR dramatics group are gearing up for their next pantomime production.

Pantoloons are a theatre group based in Braintree, on September 8 rehearsals begin for next year’s production of Sleeping Beauty, which takes place in January next year.

Everyone involved in the shows is a volunteer but the group are known for their professionalism and have been nominated for several theatre awards.

For every performance, Pantoloons donate all profits made to local charities, including in the past raising funds for Farleigh Hospice and Essex Dementia Care.

They also dedicate one performance each year to groups like Braintree Mencap.

The first meeting takes place at The Archers Community Centre on East Street in Braintree on September 8 at 7.30pm.

Rehearsals will then be held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays.
