Prisoner taken ill on the A131 near Braintree
A PRISONER was taken ill on the A131 near Braintree.
The ambulance service was called to see to a man who had fallen ill near the Panners Roundabout.
A rapid response vehicle was sent at 1.17pm today and police were already at the scene.
Witnesses saw the prisoner van with a police car and ambulance in attendance.
Police took the patient to Broomfield Hospital- he was conscious and breathing.
