Romy Fisher, 8, who attends the Complete Dance school in Witham, has been accepted into the Royal Ballet Associate School after impressing at auditions including dancers from all over the country.
She has been dancing since the age of just four and with the help of the associate program, which is designed to nurture young talent, wants to become a professional ballet dancer in the future.
Romy, who lives in Witham and attends Howbridge Primary School, will now get to take part in classes at the prestigious Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden in London every week along with continuing her classes at Complete Dance.
Jo Gillespie, Principal of Complete Dance, said: "Not only is Romy incredibly good at what she does but she has passion, commitment and ambition which you don't see very often in an 8 year old.
"I am extremely proud of her and look forward to seeing what the future brings."
