A MAN in his sixties has suffered a broken ankle after a block of metal landed on his leg.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust were called to Anglia Way, Braintree, at around 8.46am this morning.
An ambulance crew and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched following a report that a block of metal had fallen on to the man's leg.
The man was sedated at the scene before being taken to Broomfield Hospital by land ambulance.
His injury is not thought to be life-threatening.
