HEALTH bosses are sharing their vision of a new way of planning health services for residents across the district.

The Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group has come up with the Live Well initiative, which will bring community and health services together.

Over the summer, the Mid Essex CCG will be visiting festivals, parks and shopping centres to expand the conversation about this new approach to healthcare.

They will be offering a range of activities and demonstrations on each day and listening to how people already stay fit and healthy, so good ideas can be shared with everyone.

There will also be an opportunity for residents to win a free three month membership to a local leisure centre.

Dr Caroline Dollery, Chair of Mid Essex CCG, said: “We’re excited to be sharing our Live Well vision with people across our area over the summer, and look forward to hearing people’s thoughts about it. We’ll be publishing details of where we are on our website."

Joanne Beavis, Cabinet Member for Health and Communities at Braintree Council, said “ We launched the Live Well campaign in the Braintree District in 2014 to help residents improve their health and wellbeing.

"We are very pleased to be supporting the CCG’s Live Well approach for healthcare in mid Essex which complements the work we have been doing and look forward to continuing to deliver ways for our residents to lead healthy and happy lifestyles.”

The Mid Essex CCG will be at the George Yard Shopping Centre in Braintree on Wednesday, June 1 at 10.45am.

They will also be at The Grove centre in Witham on Friday, June 3, at 3pm.
