RESIDENTS of a care home enjoyed a grand production after receiving sponsorship money.

Millard House residential home in Bocking, Braintree, joined in with a grand production of songs and dances during the showing of Around the World by Tickled Pink Productions, with entertainers Jessica Hope and Pete Wager.

The drama company was set up in 2002 as a on-off tour and now travels across the country performing just for residential homes.

Activity coordinator Veronica Ottley said: "We would like to thank the sponsors of the show, Bocking May Day Fayre, where Linda Mckenzie, Jane Jansen and other members of the committee attended and presented the cheque for £175.

"The money was raised at the fair and they are also paying for a second show here in July at another.

"The highlights for the residents were the costume changes and the variety of music and songs. The cast were interacting with the residents the whole time which enabled them to join in with the show."
