CHILDREN were excited to showcase their colourful creations in an Easter bonnet parade.
Nursery and infant school pupils from Great Bradford School in Braintree were asked to create an Easter hat at home.
Out of the 280 children at the school, 11 winners were picked by office staff.
Debbie Ainger, teaching assistant and the school in Marlborough Road, said: “The office staff went around at break time to pick the winners and they were really impressed.
“There was everything from rabbits to chicks and nests with eggs.
“The children were overjoyed about taking part and the winners received Easter eggs as prizes. They can’t wait to go home and eat them.”
The Easter bonnet parade is held every year at the school as a fundraiser to buy new playground equipment.
