A FAMILY of four were left homeless after a house fire in Braintree.
The fire, in Chapel Hill, is believed to have been caused by a remote controlled car battery that was charging in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, February 9.
Two fire crews from Braintree attended at 12.49am and used breathing apparatus to enter the first floor bedroom.
They extinguished the fire by 1.30am using a hose jet reel.
The house did have working smoke alarms which helped to raise the alarm.
No injuries were sustained.
