CHILDREN at the Apple Tree Nursery in Braintree enjoyed all things red as they raised money for the British Heart Foundation.
This week the nursery in Cressing Road held activities including cooking, playing with red play-dough, and having a red treasure hunt.
About 50 children were all dressed in red to raise funds for a member of staff who died last year.
Suzanne Banks, manager at the nursery, said: “The children have loved sewing with red wool, playing with rainbow rice and making an erupting volcano.
“They have been dressing up and having a great time.
“The charity is very close to our hearts as a friend and member of staff passed away last year, the children were keen to fundraise in memory of her and the parents have also been very supportive.”
From babies to five-year-olds, everyone was keen to get involved and add a splash of colour to their week.
