Children at a day nursery had great fun taking part in a week of activities to celebrate Winnie-The-Pooh day.
The 40 children at Honey Bear House Day Nursery, in Conrad Road, Witham, spent the week jumping in puddles, making dens, planting carrots, getting messy with honey and enjoying a teddy bear’s tea party.
On Friday, the children ended the week with a balloon race, where they let go of balloons that had name tags on them to see which one would go the furthest.
There was even a visit from Winnie-The-Pooh, who helped the children release the balloons.
Deputy manager Ella Syce said: “It was a busy week.
“All the children really enjoyed themselves and it went really well.
“We had to make the puddles as it hadn’t rained, but it was just as much fun.
“One boy bought in an toy eeyore that he was really excited to show us.”
Winnie-the-Pooh day is held annually on the birthday of the lovable bear’s creator, AA Milne, on January 18.
