PRIMARY school children entertained a town’s senior citizens at an annual Christmas party.

Children from Howbridge Junior School sang Santa Claus is Coming to Town and other seasonal favourites at the event at Witham Public Hall in Collingwood Road, Witham.

The 66th annual event was organised by Witham Rotary Club and saw about 75 guests attend.

Rotarian Brian Olley said: “It’s been going on for many, many years now.

“There is musical entertainment and song sheets are provided. They like a sing song.

“Sometimes the weather can affect it but today is beautiful.”
