Stansted Airport passenger numbers top 22 million
THE number of people using an airport has hit a six-year high.
More than 22 million passengers passed through Stansted Airport in the last 12 months, an increase of 15 per cent on the previous year.
September also saw the airport serve more than two million passengers for the fifth month in a row.
Cargo tonnage also increased by seven per cent with an annual total of more than 235,000 tones.
