A BRAINTREE charity shop has been undertaking a week long fundraising drive to Stand up to Cancer.
Staff at the Cancer Research shop in Bank Street have been holding a cake sale, tombola and a children’s stall to raise money as part of the annual fundraiser.
Stand Up for Cancer takes place tonight with a live fundraising show on Channel 4.
Tomorrow the Braintree shop will continue its fundraising and a ladies day will be held on Sunday with shoes, scarves, boots and underwear on sale.
Diane Cox, assistant manager at the store, said: “The volunteers have been brilliant – we wouldn’t be able to do it without them.”
The store hopes to raise £1,500.
