A new anti-litter campaign led by Braintree Council has got people talking after feminist campaigners branded it sexist.

Love Essex, a coalition of Essex councils and fast food chains, including McDonalds, KFC and Dominos, has placed Bin Your Litter posters on bus stops across the county.

But the drive, which launched on Monday and will run till the end of September, has come under fire for signs depicting a man as "smart" and a woman as "pretty".

Natalie Collins, a campaigner for gender justice, has started an online petition against the posters.
