A GOLF day has raised more than £3,600 for charities in the district.
Braintree council chairman Lyn Walters hosted the annual golf day at Colne Valley Golf Club on July 29.
The event was held in aid of Mrs Walters’ three chosen charities: Southview School, Essex Dementia Care, and Crossroads Care - Young Carers.
The day was supported by Colne Valley Golf Club, Daniel Robinson & Sons Ltd, Fusion Lifestyle, Boningtons, Countryside Properties, Abellio Greater Anglia, London Stansted Airport, Riverside Truck Rental Ltd, and Thermal Transfer Solutions Ltd.
Twenty-four teams took part in the event, which was won by representatives from Fusion.
The total raised was £3,653, which will be added to the charity fund to be presented to the charities at the end of the civic year next April.
