BOSSES at Braintree Freeport want to bring more restaurants to the shopping destination – starting with pizza and grill chain Wildwood.
The designer retail centre has 86 units but only three restaurants, including fast food outlet Burger King.
Centre owner Hermes has asked Braintree Council for permission to change the use of two units at the entrance in Charter Way from retail to a restaurant.
The units are currently occupied by Ben Sherman and Proudfoot Leather and Lambskin.
Centre manager Josef O’Sullivan said “We are always looking for ways to enhance the offer at Freeport Braintree in order to maintain our pledge to be the premier outlet in Essex.
“By improving the range o f food and drink options at the centre, we are able to cater for all of our shoppers and help make their visit an enjoyable one.
“We are always keen to attract the best retailers, cafes and restaurants to Freeport Braintree and are excited to continue enhancing the centre for the benefit of our shoppers.”
