Braintree couple stunned as complete stranger pays £100 council tax bill
A young couple were "overwhelmed" by the kindness of a mystery man who stepped in to pay off their outstanding council tax bill.
Laura Baylis, 19, was with her boyfriend Toby Dixon, 30, at Braintree Council’s office in Causeway House when the man, known only as Keith, offered to clear their £100 debt.
Miss Baylis moved with Mr Dixon and Taylor to Church Street, Bocking, just four months ago and said last Thursday’s selfless act "meant the world" to the couple.
