Witham's MP has collected a petition with more than 200 signatures calling for safer crossings near a primary school after two pupils were hit by cars within weeks.
Jane Bass, principal at Powers Hall Academy, in Spa Road, Witham, is campaigning for Essex County Council to implement safety changes in Powers Hall End after a nine-year-old boy was hit trying to cross the road last month.
