Children in Witham will have the chance to become record breakers this weekend.
The library, in Newland Street, is hosting the attempt to break the world record for most people in a nursery rhyme singing relay.
Children aged 4-11 will take part by singing one word from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Organisers hope to have 300 children attempting the record as part of the Summer Reading Challenge.
Witham MP Priti Patel will be one of the judges and said: “This world record attempt is a fun and exciting way to start this year’s summer reading challenge.
"Children from my constituency have a chance to enter the record books on Sunday and be inspired to read more.”
The record attempt will take place at about 11.30am.
