The Walter Muir memorial hall
Plans have been submitted to demolish a scout hut building and replace it with a block of flats.
Stephen Hopps has applied to Braintree Council to demolish the Walter Muir memorial hall, a 1950s hut in Coggeshall Road, and build a three-storey building in its place.
The proposed new building, which would be built closer to the road in line with other buildings, would house four flats.
Space has also been provided for a communal garden, car parking and storage for bins, bikes and tools.
