HUNDREDS of people packed into the grounds of a church to enjoy the spectacle of a medieval fayre.
Amid the sweltering heat at the event at St Nicolas’ Church in Chipping Hill, Witham, on Saturday, refreshment stalls did a roaring trade.
Visitors also cooled off under the trees as they watched the Morris Men of Little Egypt on the main road.
There was also music from the Big Sing, the CrossWinds Band, the Colchester Waits and entertainment from the Taylor Crew street dance troupe and the Marion Snook School of Dance.
