A caring 11-year-old girl has raised hundreds of pounds by donating her hair to a charity which makes wigs for children suffering from cancer.
Powers Hall Primary School pupil Ellie Beauchamp cut off her Rapunzel-like locks for the Little Princess Trust and wanted to raise the £350 it will cost the charity to turn them into a hairpiece.
However she soon overtook the figure, instead raising £479.48.
This week, Ellie, whose hair reached the bottom of her back, had 12-inches cut off and her hair styled into a sophisticated long bob.
