A housing association has unveiled its largest homes development in the district.
Greenfields Community Housing officially opened 36 new homes at Geoffrey Blackwell Close, off Walford Way, in Coggeshall by hosting a community fun day.
Councillor Lady Patricia Newton cut the ribbon at 1pm and residents enjoyed a bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts and a barbecue until 4pm.
Mrs Newton, cabinet member for planning and housing at Braintree Council, said: “Over the last few weeks I have had the pleasure of visiting a number of newly completed affordable housing sites, and meeting some of the residents moving in.
“Properties such as these in Coggeshall will make a real difference to local residents’ lives, and as a district council it is important that we continue to work closely with partners such as Greenfields, who are developing really high quality affordable housing.”
