More than 100 dedicated Braintree schoolchildren donned caps and gowns as they were recognised for their extracurricular achievements.
Pupils from Lyons Hall Primary School, White Court Primary School, John Bunyan Junior School, Great Bradfords Junior School and Bocking Church Street Primary School dressed up as graduates for the special ceremony to mark their time in the Essex Children’s University.
One pupil from Tabor Academy and another from Notley Green Primary School were also recognised in the celebrations.
The event, held at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, was organised by the children themselves to recognise their hard work and commitment to volunteering and participating in clubs and learning activities outside of school, as part of the programme.
