A new education facility at Stansted Airport which could help Braintree youngsters start an aviation career has been officially opened.

Aerozone, a £500,000 learning hub focussing on boosting talent and interest in science, technology, engineering and maths, was opened yesterday.

Councillors, business representatives, school children and former Tottenham Hostpur footballer Ledley King, from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, gathered to mark the official opening.

The airport aims to attract over 5,000 youngsters to the centre by 2016.
