Two Braintree police constables, who were dismissed after failing a domestic abuse victim, will be prevented from working as police officers again.
The male officers, who Essex Police refused to identify, were found to have breached standards of behaviour relating to honesty and integrity following a four-day hearing last week.
They were found to have failed in their duties when they attended a domestic abuse incident in August by not fully investigating an assault allegation, which led to fasle information being recorded.
Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said the police officers’ names will be recorded on the College of Policing’s national disapproved register.
