Castle Hedingham has been listed as one of the most beautiful villages in the country.
The Telegraph compiled a list of the best English villages to visit and Castle Hedingham was featured alongside pretty coastal places, such as Staithes in North Yorkshire and Blakeney in Norfolk.
The paper stated: “Tucked away in the Colne Valley, not far from Constable Country but quieter, with far fewer tourists, Castle Hedingham has a trinity of delights comprising a quaint High Street complete with timbered medieval inn, a late Norman church and a stout Norman castle.
“It is also home to the Colne Valley Railway, which opened in 1860, and has steam trains puffing through green fields on a half-mile track.”
