A memorial show to pay tribute to a talented teenage musician will take place on Saturday.
Two hundred free tickets are available to enjoy the memorial event for James Simmons at the main hall at the College at Braintree from 6pm to 10pm.
The 18-year-old, who was studying the exteded diploma in Music Technology at the college, died at the scene of a car crash in Braintree Road, Gosfield, on December 7.
James, of Hillside Gardens, Braintree, was the rear seat passenger in a Volkswagen Polo, which was in collision with a Ford Fiesta.
Richard Nolan, James’ course leader, is organising the concert, which will raise money for a charity to be chosen by Jill and Mike Simmons, James’ parents.
It will feature bands and soloists from the college and Braintree Sound Academy, which provides free music lessons for young people, operating from Braintree Foyer.
