Police have made a further arrest in connection with the kidnap of a three-year-old child from the Great Notley area.
An 18-year-old man from Hornchurch was arrested today following the execution of a warrant in Hornchurch.
He was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, possession with intent to supply and firearms offences.
He is currently in custody.
Robert Gurling, 45, of Linden Street, Romford, has been charged with kidnapping the child on May 2.
He has been remanded in custody until July 9 to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Laurence Payne, 40, of Dereham Place, Romford was charged with assisting an offender and has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on May 27.
A 43-year-old woman from Guildford in Surrey was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with this investigation and has been bailed pending further enquiries until June 30.
