A star baker has created a three-tier surprise for the Britain’s Got Talent judges from his kitchen in Witham.

Robin Brown, of Calamint Road, was contacted by the prime-time talent show’s producers to bake the cake - worth around £480 - and even got to park in Simon Cowell’s space to deliver it.

Ricky Gervais, Laura Trott and Atomic Kitten are just some of the stars to commission Robin in the three years since he left his factory job to launch his cake business - Rockin' Robin’s Cakes.

His newest 48-egg masterpiece will be unveiled on Saturday’s Britain’s Got More Talent but the design is under wraps until it airs.

The episode was filmed in February, where the father-of-two sat proudly in the audience.

He said: "It was a bit of a shock but I felt privileged to be contacted.

"I didn’t get to meet the judges but I did get to park in Simon’s space which was cool.

"The cake is presented to the judges by Ant and Dec and Stephen Mulhern - it will be on the programme this month and I’ll be watching it at home.

"My wife and children were very proud of me."

Mr Brown bakes between three and 23 cakes every week and says even though he enjoys baking for the stars, every project is special.

"If I was making it for one of my neighbours or someone in my area it would be just as important."
