Fully-qualified cycle instructors will be on hand to offer expert advice to adults in Braintree.

A free Bikeability session will take place at Great Notley Country Park every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

Beginners and advanced riders are welcome to take advantage of the tuition, brought about by Braintree Council and Essex County Council.

Paul Bird, Essex County Council’s director for commissioning: transport and infrastructure, said: “The training sessions are open to all cyclists, especially those who may have rediscovered their enthusiasm for cycling and would appreciate some hints and tips on how to ride more safely in today’s heavy traffic.

“Our experience shows just a few Bikeability sessions can help people refresh their skills and gain confidence on our roads.”

Bikeability was launched in England in 2007 and is the Government approved award for cycle training.
