Artistic youngsters made creative headwear for an Easter bonnet competition.
Some 90 children at Great Bradfords Infant and Nursery School, in Marlborough Road, Braintree, put their craft skills to good use to make their own bonnet from scratch or re-work an existing hat.
Prizes were handed out to the best design in each class.
The winners were Alfie Walters, Summer Petchey, Rhys Horscroft, Lewis Catley, Kieran Johnson, Honey-Rose Laidlow, Matthew Savill and Lewis Gostling.
Finance officer Lorraine Woodhouse said: “All the children had great fun making the bonnets.
“They did them at home and brought them in afterwards. The children were winners because they were more imaginative. Some of the children had bought the hats but the winners had made them from scratch.”
