Woman taken to hospital with serious head injury after Coldnailhurst Avenue collision
A 44-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after a traffic collision in Coldnailhurst Avenue last night.
Police have arrested a 26-year-old man from Braintree on suspicion of GBH following the collision at about 8pm.
The woman, who was knocked off her bicycle after it collided with a Ford Focus car, was taken to Broomfield Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to Colchester Police station for questioning.
He was later released on police bail until Monday, May 11.
