Witham Air Cadets celebrated their 10th anniversary by unveiling a £10k flight simulator.

The equipment was bought with a grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

Cadets, parents and staff from 295 (Witham and Rivenhall) Air Cadet Squadron were joined by councillors Lyn Walters, Janet Money, Bill Rose and members of RAFA and other local associations.

Commanding officer Flight Lieutenant Sean Purcell, said: “Since our formation as a squadron, we have delivered training and support to approximately 200 12 – 20 year olds, many of whom have gained experiences and qualifications that they could not get elsewhere and have gone on to careers that make us proud.

“It was good to be able to showcase what we do and to demonstrate the positive impact we make on the local community.”
