Improvements have been made at a troubled care home.

The Old Deanery Care Home, run by Anglian Retirement Homes Limited, still requires improvement according to a Care Quality Commission report published today.

It hit national headlines in March after a BBC Panorama programme showed alleged abuse of residents by staff.

Inspectors visited the home in November and found it had improved in all areas.

This followed a visit in July where they found eight out of nine measures were not being met.

The home is now rated good for being caring but requires improvement in being safe, well-led, responsive and effective.
