A dad-of-two continues to suffer haunting flashbacks six months after he was scarred for life in a vicious acid attack.
Wayne Ingold, 57, said he still feels “incredible pain” in his right shoulder after he suffered life-changing chemical burns from the attack in Bramble Road, Witham, in August last year.
He said: “I have still got a lot of pain in my neck and right shoulder.
“I can’t sleep on my right hand side as it is extremely painful.
“I am still struggling to sleep with it all.
“The worst part of it all is the psychological effects - I keep having flashbacks and remembering things from that day."
Aaron Isaac, 19, of Elverson Road, Lewisham, has been charged this week with throwing a corrosive liquid with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding with intent.
He is the second teenager to be charged in connection with the attack.
