A woman has been fined after waste was dumped in Feering.
Francesca Shepherd, 34, of Belvawney Close, in Chelmsford was prosecuted for giving waste to people without ensuring they were licenced waste carriers.
She appeared at Colchester Magistrates Court last Tuesday about the waste, which was found fly tipped on land off Coggeshall Road, Feering.
Ms Shepherd was interviewed regarding this offence, but was unable to identify the person she had paid to take away her waste.
She was fined and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge, which, came to £390 altogether.
Councillor Wendy Schmitt, cabinet member for place at Braintree Council, said: "Through the work our Environmental Team does we only have a few cases of fly-tipping in our district each year.
“However when we do have instances arise it costs tax payers money that could and should be spent elsewhere.
“As the owner of waste it is your responsibility to ensure that it is correctly disposed of through a licenced waste carrier and as this latest prosecution goes to show, if this is not the case we will look to investigate and prosecute, and you could face a significant fine."
