Old Deanery care home worker denies ill-treating patient
A worker at a troubled care home will stand trial later this year for allegedly ill-treating a resident.
Magdalina Nowak, 33, of Jacquard Way in Braintree, is alleged to have committed the offence at the Old Deanery Care Village in Braintree on June 6 last year.
The home was the subject of a 2014 Panorama investigation and three other people are due to stand trial for alleged abuse in June.
Nowak pleaded not guilty at Colchester Magistrates’ Court and will stand trial there on June 5.
