One of the country's youngest councillors hopes to be Essex's youngest county councillor.
Stephen Canning was 18 when he was elected to Braintree Council to represent Bocking Blackwater in May 2011.
At the time, he was thought to be Britain's youngest councillor.
Now 22, the Conservative is standing in the Essex County Council by-election for Bocking on March 5.
The seat was previously held by UKIP councillor Gordon Helm, who died suddenly in December.
