An air ambulance was scrambled after a person fell ill on a train.
The passenger was travelling on the Norwich to London Liverpool Street train which stopped at Witham at around 12.30pm.
An air ambulance, two ambulances and two response cars were sent and the patient has been driven to Broomfield Hospital assisted by members of the critical care team.
Abellio Greater Anglia tweeted the 11.30am Norwich to Liverpool Street service and the 12.05pm Clacton-On-Sea to Liverpool Street service are delayed due to the incident.
