A school choir has let out a rallying cry for sponsorship to expand the children’s horizons.
Twenty-nine children aged seven to 10 are part of the choir at Beckers Green Primary School, in Beckers Green Road, Braintree, and are hoping to secure more funding to reach national competitions.
The group was the only school choir at the Braintree Christmas lights switch on and believe they have the talent to make it with extra funds.
Jo Cochrane, a learning support assistant at the school, said: “They are absolutely fantastic, we have such positive feedback after every performance.
“Sponsorship would mean our choir could travel and take part in a much wider range of perfomances, such as the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition at the Royal Festival Hall in London."
