A primary school has a £650,000 new extension.
Lyons Hall Primary School in Deerleap Way, Braintree, has extended to accommodate extra pupils.
The IT suite has been enlarged and there are four new classrooms, new headteacher's office, music room and group room.
Upper floor classrooms could be added in the future if they are needed.
The school has 450 pupils and its intake each year is 90.
Phelan Construction Limited and architects Laurie Wood Associates worked on the development.
