A schoolboy snared an audition for Britain’s Got Talent- by playing his drum kit blindfolded.

Josef Sillett, 11, applied for the show behind his family’s back and passed an initial assessment with the show’s producers at the Excel Centre in London.

Proud mum Tanya Sillett, 40, of Challis Rise in Rayne, said: “It was his idea to do it blindfolded, even though he’d never done it before.

“It was his idea to enter Britain’s Got Talent. It was about two weeks ago and he was on his iPad. He used my phone to call the whole family and told me after."

Josef said: “Playing blindfolded helps me concentrate because I’m not focussed on other people. I just decided to try it and I was good at it."

Britain’s Got Talent producers will let Josef know if he will get an audition in front of the judges by February 15.
