Four men suspected of being behind brutal assaults in Braintree town centre have been banned from 30 pubs across the town.
The ban has been introduced by the 30 landlords who are members of the Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) pubwatch scheme, who have declined to reveal the identity of the four to the public.
They follow a string of savage assaults in the town since September.
These include two attacks on women by a group of youths as young as 15, an attack outside the Lounge which left a man with a broken jaw, a brawl near Bar Sport in High Street, which left three men with head and facial injuries, and a glassing attack in the Bull, which left a 23-year-old needing 30 stitches.
