One of Witham’s most famous sons has never been better as he prepares to release his fourth album.

Pop star and former X Factor contestant Olly Murs, 30, who hails from Witham, is preparing to release his newest album, entitled Never Been Better, on November 24.

The album’s first single, named Wrapped Up, will be released on November 17.

The former Howbridge Junior School and Notley High School pupil came second on the talent show five years ago and signed a record deal with Sony.

Since then he has had four UK number one singles and released three albums - two of which went to number one.

For his latest album, which he has spent eight months working on, Olly has enlisted the help of singers and songwriters Wayne Hector, Claude Kelly, Steve Robson and Demi Lovato.

On Olly’s Instagram page, he posted a picture of his new album cover and excited fans replied, saying “So excited for this and the tour”, “I’m running to the shops to buy this” and “I want it now! The wait is testing my patience”.
