Raffle tickets are on sale to win a huge Christmas hamper.

More than 90 shops and businesses in Braintree, including the Times, have donated goods and vouchers for the hamper, which will be raffled off at the Braintree Christmas fayre and light switch-on on November 30.

Tickets cost £1 per strip and the money raised will be donated to Help the Heroes.

The hamper, measuring four feet by three feet, was organised for the second year running, by Emma Mack, 33, who owns Macks Barbershop in the High Street.

It is displayed outside the shop.

Last year more than £2,200 was raised but it is hoped that more money will be raised this year.
