Police officers are searching for burglars who targeted a Braintree home yesterday.

Police were called to Clare Road shortly before 4pm, following reports of a burglary.

Thieves are believed to have forced the front door to get into the house before carrying out a messy search and stealing property.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time or who has any other information that could help the police is asked to call Braintree CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
