PlayStation games worth £60 have been stolen from a car.
Thieves smashed the rear windscreen of a Vauxhall Corsa, which was parked in Thorpe Mews, Braintree, overnight between last Monday and Tuesday.
Two Fifa games for a PlayStation, worth £30 each, were stolen.
Sergeant Martin Richards, of Braintree police, said: “We would like to remind all motorists about the vulnerabilities to leaving valuable stuff on display and also leaving vehicles unlocked.
“We often go around checking door handles and about one in ten cars parked in towns are left open.
“In rural areas it is about two in ten - that is usually our ratio.”
